And it&#8217;s true that the storms haven&#8217;t just left us with water; they&#8217;ve also left our <strong>pools full of mud and dirt<\/strong> . Rainwater can be an enemy of our pools on its own, but if it comes with mud, the problem is compounded.    <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>When it rains <strong>mud<\/strong> and it falls into the water, it&#8217;s usually quite heavy, which explains why we see it mostly at the <strong>bottom of the pool<\/strong> . However, some of the mud may be suspended in the water, and it&#8217;s in this case that the water becomes <strong>cloudy<\/strong> . <\/p>\n<p>And who doesn&#8217;t want to enjoy a clean and spotless pool, right? That&#8217;s why today we&#8217;re bringing you some <strong>tips<\/strong> to <strong>keep your pool water pristine<\/strong> despite the weather. Here&#8217;s how to clean your pool when it&#8217;s raining mud.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Steps to remove mud from the pool<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. First, we need to measure the chlorine and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reindesa.com\/en\/pool-tips-how-to-measure-and-control-ph-and-how-to-remove-algae-from-your-pool\/\">pH levels<\/a> in the water. If they are within the correct range, we check the condition of the filter, which is likely to be dirty. <\/p>\n<p>2. We performed a filter wash and rinse to remove dirt from the water.<\/p>\n<p>3. After washing, we leave the filter in \u201cmanual filtration mode\u201d for one or two days.<\/p>\n<p>4. To ensure the filter retains the suspended mud, we can use a state-of-the-art coagulant, or we can use a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piscinasreindesa.com\/floculantes-a6f\/\"><b>flocculant<\/b><\/a> <b>,<\/b> which will drag the mud to the bottom.<\/p>\n<p>5. Once the pool has reached the bottom, it&#8217;s best to use a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piscinasreindesa.com\/limpiafondos-a55\/\"><b>pool vacuum<\/b><\/a> and remove the dirty water through the drain. Set the inlet valves to &#8220;bottom cleaning&#8221; mode\u2014just as you would when cleaning the bottom of the pool\u2014and close the main drain and skimmer. On the selector valve, choose the &#8220;drain&#8221; position. If there is a valve on the drain outlet, open it.   <\/p>\n<p>6. Once the bottom has been cleaned, we turn off the pump again and put the valves back in their normal position.<\/p>\n<p>7.
