We continue our collection of extraordinary swimming pools with this spectacular project, winner of an international design competition by the Atkins Group . Located in a quarry in Songjiang, China, the hotel, nestled within a water-filled quarry, is built with careful consideration of the surrounding natural elements, blending seamlessly into the landscape. It boasts 400 rooms, some of which are surprisingly located underwater.
In its waterfront area, it has a luxury swimming pool and a center for extreme sports such as free climbing and bungee jumping, which is built on the quarry and can be accessed by elevators that rise from the water.
