At Reindesa we love floating pools , and we’ve discovered another incredible one suitable for everyone:
The trendy European city of Berlin is home to one of the most extraordinary swimming pools in one of the city’s most iconic locations. It’s called Badeschiff , a floating pool on the Spree River with an open-air bar, massages, yoga classes, concerts, parties, and even a sunbathing area with natural beach sand.
Opened in 2004, the Badeschiff was conceived, designed and built by AMP Arquitectos , a studio based in Tenerife, WILK-SALINAS Architekten with Thomas Freiwald and the artist Susanne Lorenz at the ARENA BERLIN center.
With a packed program of activities, the Badeschiff caters to all budgets, and admission is only €4. So, if you’re not on vacation yet and Berlin is your next destination, don’t miss the chance to take a break in such a unique spot.
If you’re thinking of going in winter, the Badeschiff never ceases to amaze us with a system to cover it during the cold months (which are many in Germany) and allow you to enjoy a pleasant temperature, with a sauna area and an open-air area for the bravest.
