Swimming pool Morning Glory in Yellowstone

Without a doubt, nature is its best architect; one example of this is the exceptional natural pool located in Yellowstone National Park in the United States.

The distinctive yellow color of the hot springs pool is due to a bacteria that lives in the water. The name Morning Glory was given to it by E. N. McGowan, the wife of the park’s assistant at the time, in 1883, referring to its resemblance to the morning glory flower.
