An efficient pool filtration system is the engine that ensures the physical cleaning of the water, removing particles, leaves, and dirt to keep it clear and healthy. The filtration equipment consists primarily of a pool pump (which circulates the water) and a pool filter (where the dirt is trapped). Choosing the right type of filter is crucial for water quality.
In our stores, you will find everything you need to assemble, maintain and renew your purification system.
Types of filters and filter media:
Sand filters (silica): The most common, robust, and economical option. They use silica sand or more modern media such as filter glass (AFM) or zeolite. They offer a good level of filtration and require periodic backwashing for cleaning.
Cartridge filters: Ideal for small pools or spas. They offer finer filtration than sand, save water by not requiring backwashing, but need frequent manual cleaning of the pleated cartridge.
Diatomaceous earth filters: These provide the finest filtration on the market (crystal clear water), using diatomaceous earth. They are more expensive and require more delicate maintenance, but the resulting improvement in water quality is unsurpassed.
In addition to filters, we offer variable-speed filtration pumps (which save energy and are quieter), selector valves, and all the accessories and filter media you need. Invest in a quality filter and reduce your need for chemicals.
