Having an automatic pool cover is an excellent and practical way to keep your pool water clean and protected from contaminants. But what about the dirt that accumulates right on top of that cover? In this post, we’ll give you some basic tips on how to easily clean your automatic (or any type of) pool cover .
Spring pollen , fallen leaves , or even weather phenomena like dust storms (calima) combined with rain —which recently affected some areas of Spain—are the main reasons why your roof isn’t looking its best. What can we do?
1) The first recommendation would be prevention. That is, to constantly monitor and remove debris (leaves, soil, etc.) before it accumulates and hardens. If it does, it will take more time and effort to clean it up.
2) If dirt has already accumulated and we need a more powerful solution, or if we simply want to perform a thorough cleaning , use a high-pressure washer twice a year , distributing the jet evenly to avoid damaging the deck with the pressure. Use a limescale remover instead of just water for this step.
3) Last but not least, it’s a good idea to do a monthly check to make sure all the parts that hold and operate the cover are in place or, conversely, are broken or badly damaged. In the latter case, you’ll need to contact technical support.
