The 3 basic types of robotic pool cleaners:

1) Robotic Pool Cleaners : These are the simplest and most economical . The system is very simple. They connect via hose directly to the pool ‘s vacuum system. These devices are not intelligent in the sense that they clean the pool randomly.

In other words, they clean the pool randomly, circling around without recognizing that any area has already been cleaned. Therefore, they may pass over the same spot that’s already been cleaned. – This is a smart pool cleaning robot: by placing the pool cleaner in the center of the pool, it calculates the width and length of the pool and will automatically start moving around the pool without missing any corner.
